Bullying

I believe that this is good that the school is finally doing something about bullying. The theme is to speak up for people who are being bullied and not to be scared to stick up for what is right. Personally myself I do not see bullying very often and don't think it is a problem, but I understand now that it DOES happen at this school right at this very instance. It is wrong, and it is time to do something about it.Hopefully this will show students who bully, that they need to change their ways and help people rather than hurt them. I want and hope that soon Bedford will become a no bully school! If we can reach this goal, Bedford can be a school where every kid wants to go. 80% of kids report bullying in their elementary through high school years. There is a 40% chance that if you are a bully in elementary school, you will carry that on to be a bully until you are an adult. People like to bully and make fun of other people because of they are insecure with themselves and like to make themselves look better if they gossip and taunt other people. Please if you see someone being bullied, speak up and do the right thing!

On January 12th, a masive earthquake hit Hati! It's magnitude was 7.0 on the Richter Scale. There were 33 aftershocks, including 14 over 5.0. Over the last 15 years 9 natural disasters have occured including Hurricanes, Earthquakes, and Flooding. 95% of the poeple are homeless and living on the streets! They do not know the exact number of deaths but they are estimating 100,00 to 200,00 people. Consequently, 3 million people in Haiti have been affected. As many as 50 countries over the world have been giving to the countries. It can be for either doctors or just food such as rice and water. The government building was ruined also, so the government hasn't been in control so american soilders have gone in to help out. The United States have raised over 48 Million, and still getting money. If I was in the situation I would be horrified and dreadfully afraid. I would be scared for my family and my life. I would help search for people hidden in the fubble, I would do all I could do help peope survive! I would search for food and wait for help! I would pray to God that he would be stay with me and the country!

In 10 years....

In ten years I have just finished my bachelor's degree in teaching at the University of Utah . I will be in a serious relationship but not quite ready to get married. My best friend will be Taylor Foster! I will buy a Golden Retriever puppy. I will hopefully soon start getting my own apartment, and finding a nearby part time job. I will lease a car (honda accord) and will start a savings account so I can eventually buy one. I want to be a teacher for elementary children especially 5th graders. When I have any breaks from school, first I will visit my parents in michigan. Then, I will travel with my best friend and boyfriend to Grecce, New Zealand, Egypt, St.Lucia, and Alaska. My boyfriend will be in the NBA so I might have to travel all over the United States.
